Please note we are a non – smoking establishment. It is against the law to smoke on our premises. If any guest is found smoking on our premises we reserve the right to request them to leave. A cleaning charge of £100 will be levied.

A deposit equal to one night’s stay is required to guarantee a reservation. Seven-day notice of cancellation is required for a refund. If cancellation occurs within the seven-day period 50% will be charged. A cancellation period of less than 48 hours will result in no refund of deposit.

We are happy to accept Debit card, Visa, MasterCard, or electronic transfer of funds for payment of deposit or balance. Where possible we would prefer payment by debit card.

Online booking and secure online payment of the deposit is available on the website.

Check-in and out times

Check-in is any time after 4pm and before 9pm. Check-in outside of those times can be arranged. Please phone or request on booking.

Check out is by 10am on the day of departure. If the room is not vacated by this time, the customer will be liable for payment of another night. Later check out can be arranged in most instances by prior arrangement depending on the proposed arrival of the next guest.

Equally, we offer the service to guests where we can hold luggage after check out time and until 6pm on the day of departure, again by prior arrangement.

Guests will not be admitted after 11pm out of consideration for other guests. Prior arrangement or unusual or unavoidable circumstances will be taken into consideration.

Any complaint regarding the guest house must be brought to the attention of the management as early as possible during your stay.

Right of Refusal

We reserve the right to refuse a guest both entry and accommodation if on arrival we consider the guest to be under the influence of mood enhancing substances, e.g.  alcohol or drugs. We also reserve the right to refuse entry to guests behaving in an abusive or threatening manner.

Privacy Policy

Personal information collected from you is used to fulfil your request for services.
Clairmont Guest House will not seek or hold information about you which is excessive for its purpose. We will not modify, copy or redistribute any of your personal file information. All details held about you no longer necessary will be deleted from our system

Access Statement

Clairmont Guest House is situated in the small market town of Wellington close to the town centre of Telford. We are within walking distance of the train station and Wellington market. Clairmont Guest House is a Victorian property and sadly not suitable for wheelchairs.

A collection service from Wellington station is available by prior arrangement but only if time of arrival is suitable.

Off road level parking is available on a first come first served basis

24-hour access to property with key. There are however planning restrictions re arrival or returning from evening out by car after midnight. In this instance, we request you to park on Haygate Road, where parking is freely available.

Entrance to property has a step 5” high at front door. Front door is 36” wide.

All internal doors are 31” wide.

Dining room and reception lead off from front door. There are no steps.

Stairs to first landing lead off from reception area where seating is provided.

There are 17 steps on stairs to first floor.

Solid wood stair railing to first floor.

All landing and hall areas are well lit and with emergency lighting.

There are two ground floor rooms but they are not suitable for wheelchairs.

Most medications can be refrigerated.

English only spoken.

Bedroom electric sockets are low level.

Rooms have good contrasting colours.

Dining room has stone floor and good supporting chairs.

Wi-Fi available throughout the property.

Guests can be assisted with luggage.

Additional information

Clairmont Guest House meets all requirements required by Fire Regulatory Reform Order 2005 and has an L1 alarm system in place. Instructions in case of fire are available in all rooms. Large print can be supplied on request. The fire alarm is a loud bell. If you have hearing difficulties please let us know and you will be told face to face if there any problems.
